Self-hosted Railway-style deploys
Railway is a hosted platform. If you want a self-hosted setup that feels similar (push code, get a running app with HTTPS), you need a server, a container runtime and a reverse proxy.
The parts you need
- A server (for example a Hetzner Cloud VM).
- Docker to run the app.
- A reverse proxy with automatic certificates (Caddy or Traefik).
- A way to redeploy on each push.
CloudHostAI sets up these parts on a server in your Hetzner account.
How CloudHostAI works
CloudHostAI deploys Git repositories to a server in your own Hetzner account. You connect a Hetzner API token. It provisions the server (default location Falkenstein, Germany, which you can change) and runs your app in Docker behind Caddy. Caddy issues a Let’s Encrypt certificate when you point a custom domain at the server. The platform fee is Free, Indie $19, Startup $39 or Team $99 per month. Hetzner bills the server to you separately (current plans, checked 2026-10-27).
