AWS vs Hetzner for small apps
For a small app, Hetzner is usually simpler to price because it bills by server, while AWS offers far more managed services. Compare like for like.
| Hetzner Cloud | AWS | |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing model | Mostly per server, with included traffic | Per service, with separate data transfer |
| Managed services | Few | Very many |
| Regions | EU and US, plus Singapore | Global |

How CloudHostAI works
CloudHostAI deploys Git repositories to a server in your own Hetzner account. You connect a Hetzner API token. It provisions the server (default location Falkenstein, Germany, which you can change) and runs your app in Docker behind Caddy. Caddy issues a Let’s Encrypt certificate when you point a custom domain at the server. The platform fee is Free, Indie $19, Startup $39 or Team $99 per month. Hetzner bills the server to you separately (current plans, checked 2026-10-27).
